This characterful old building, dating back to the 1800’s, has been sympathetically restored to a very high standard. It has three cosy bedrooms, two bathrooms, a wood burning stove and an open plan kitchen living area, offering accommodation for up to five guests. The cottage is suitable for up to three children within that number.

It is has it’s own private access, a sun-trap patio and is surrounded by an abundance of fruit trees and climbing roses. Sands Cove and Red Strand Beach are within 5 minutes of the cottage.

Available to rent with Dunowen House or alone as a peaceful hideaway for short or long stays.

Weekends from €450 and Weekly stays from €1,200 Off-peak season minimum 2 nights, Bank Holidays minimum 3 nights. Easter & Christmas minimum 4 nights. Summer Holidays, weekly only stays running Saturday to Saturday. For availability and rates call us on (023) 8869099 or contact us.

"A Magical West Cork Escape"

We stayed at Dunowen House for a long weekend and genuinely didn’t want to leave. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty of the house and its surroundings – the views, the gardens, the quiet… it’s pure magic. The house itself is full of character and history but still feels incredibly cosy and luxurious.

We loved having our morning coffee overlooking the sea and strolling down to the nearby coves. It was the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. Clonakilty is only a few minutes away too, so we had some lovely meals out and picked up bits from the local markets.

We feel so blessed to have had our wedding here and so grateful for Kela and Stephen for making this the most special day of our lives.
